Nomi's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

I read the end of magazine or newspaper articles first to see if I want to read the rest
I call sam my husband to anyone who doesn't know me
if i go under a ladder or signpost I bite my tongue and count to 10
I used to pretend to be a singer in front of hundreds of people - usually a charity event- and would dedicate 'my next song to someone very special to me'
I hate the taste of coffee
I secretly think about my wedding alot
I've been in therapy for many years
That playing certain card and board games scares the living shit out of me and my heart will pound throughout
That i've lost my purse more times than i've told anyone

Fran and I have an extremely childish rivarly about who can get their sunglasses on first when the sun comes out

I can't stand Al Green

I've never taken my wedding ring off

Zoe's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

Some things you may not know about me.......

Just like my sister I NEVER iron anything - EVER!

Also like my sister I don't like breaking rules or the law for fear of being told off - it's quite scary how much I related to this when reading her list!

When I was in primary school I got hit in the head with a cricket bat when I was backstop when we were playing rounders - a few years later when I went to secondary school the same boy threw a cricket ball at the same place in my head - both times I passed out! I think he had it in for me? Actually whilst on the subject of being hit by balls - also whilst at Hampstead I got knocked out by a basket ball in my temple and got hit in the eyebrow with a ball from inside a computer mouse - out of all these injuries I would have to say the mouse ball was the worst and most painfull!

I never walk under road signs on the pavement
I never walk across three consecutive drains in the pavement
Despite the whole world not understanding this - I hate the smell of bacon
After having the rubella vaccine at 13 - I got german measles at 14
I think about my wedding alot - although this mostly reminds me how utterly single I am so I try not too!
I always wear matching underwear.
I hate birds
I still watch Twin Peaks, on really old VHS's, I know most of the lines now, but still discover new things, and I have always fancied bobby, quite a lot.
I once tried a cat biscuit and licked my cat to see what it felt like!
I have a really bad phobia of public toilets, anywhere!
I know what my childrens names will be, including accompanying middle names! and I will never tell anyone until they are born - except my future husband, who of course does not exist yet.
I always lie about my life to cab drivers.
I know most celebrity gossip!
When I was younger - if me and kim went to buy alcohol we always bought catfood and tampons at the same time, when we didn't need them, because we thought it made us loook older

I actually hate cupcakes..........just kidding!!!!!

Clare's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

'Some things you may not know about me'

I am convinced I'm unloveable
I can't always remember how to spell acommodation, committee, recommend and liaison
I feel uncomfortable being awake and not wearing a bra
Thinking too much about babies makes me cry
I love it when market stallholders know me, and yet feel intimidated because they ask where I've been when I miss a week
I like it when huge things happen in my life and I don't tell anyone about them
I always have a proper handkerchief about my person
I like the taste of aniseed but not mint
When I answer the phone, I've probably just said 'Oh bugger off' to it

Ellen's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

I pee in the shower - always, I can't help it.
I like people who make me laugh, but my favourites are the ones that let me be silent.
I'm upset that I don't enjoy surveys like I used to.
I'm worrried that I should move house and job before I get pregnant.
I always wanted to stay in hospital and when I did I enjoyed it.
My form of meditation is plucking.

My house is dirty and I don't especially care.
I've noticed recently I watch telly like my mum - with my mouth open.
I love posh noodles but rarely indulge.
I never go anywhere without deciding my route in advance, even the kitchen.
I still don't like tea or coffee but have trained myself for olives and red wine.
I wish I could be bothered to draw / paint

Xanthe's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

  • I never iron anything…ever.
  • When I was younger I’d hide used custard cream biscuits minus the creamy centre under my parents bed.
  • i’m enjoying watching hell’s kitchen USA and adore Gordon.
  • I can’t spell.
  • I haven’t worn black for 6 years unless the occasion required it.
  • I worry that toddlerdom is an insight into my children’s teenage future.
  • I don’t like being ‘hard’ xanthe, but I can’t help it.
  • I think about Thailand every day.
  • I like to flick through each page of a magazine first, before going back to read it.
  • I’ve never had mumps.
  • A boy at primary school held a potato gun at me in the outside toilets of the infants playground.
  • I spent a whole day in a thai prison, and didn’t pee once.
  • I don’t like breaking rules or the law, for fear of being told off, but will happy cheat at any quiz, if possible.
  • I don’t like planning the future.

Rosie's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

I have a scar from being chased by a barracuda

I would play cards until dawn, any game I don’t care, doesn’t even have to be cards, any game, except chess and that’s just because no one has taught me how to win yet

I am scared of driving in London, it’s not the driving that scares me, but other drivers

Sometimes I can’t resist the urge to bake

I hate the phone and in an ideal world would communicate without it

I’m a really good singer without an audience

I love hanging up washing in my garden, much less keen on taking it down

Given a choice (and the eradication of scurvy) I could live without vegetables

My legs tingle when I am tired

I see the world in numbers and shapes, everything has a pattern or dynamic, sometimes it is easy to see, sometimes it is more difficult to interpret

Polly's 'Some things you may not know about me...'

that i call the area where i live, the 'ghetto'

that i feel the need to read the number plate of every car i walk past, or 'something bad will happen'
that punctuation mistakes make me angry, especially misplaced apostrophes
that grammar mistakes make me angry

that when i read magazines i have to read every page, including the ads, or 'somethng bad will happen'

that i secretly wish i was an actress or a singer
that i am scared of birds and butterflies - in fact anything with wings
that i enjoy ironing

that it took fran and i about 5 days to work out the time difference between uk and italy after the clocks had changed

Fran's 'some things you may not know about me...'

Some things you may not know about me are...
That laurel and hardy crack me up

That william shatner’s last album is one of my favourites
That I secretly fancy simon cowell a tiny little bit
That I have a note on my fridge that says “kill richard and therese” and another one underneath that says “yes, wring their scrawny little necks”
That I have an etsy shop CLICK AND VISIT!
That I have an alter-ego CLICK AND VISIT!
That we call the 210 ‘the poor bus’
That we have a running score for university challenge and ben’s probably winning by a small margin
That when I’m on the computer, I play masquerade by the carpenters over and over again and sing very loudly into a pen
That I hate see-saws
That I collect vintage sewing patterns and vintage teacups
That I’m a slow reader mainly due to an OCD, which requires that I take in every word absolutely thoroughly
That I have a pathological fear of lateness, which manifests itself in recurring dreams
That I have a pathological fear of parties (the grown-up kind not children’s…although, that’s another story).
That I am fiercely competitive in a passive aggressive way.
